Garlic Love

In my last post I talked about a garlic salad that I had made for a dinner party. It was the salad that has been my favorite since I was a kid. My mom would make this for our family with almost every meal if we asked. Today I find it goes best with something off the grill or pizza of any kind.
I still could eat this with every meal. I would smell and taste like a big clove of garlic but if you don’t like garlic you are probably not the one for me!! There are things in a relationship that are negotiable like what side of the bed you want?? I am willing to bend. Want to have kids?? I am no longer able but they are not a deal breaker. You don’t want me to cook with garlic??????? GET OUT! THE DOOR IS OVER THERE DON’T LET IT HIT YOU ON THE WAY OUT!!! Yes I am serious I draw the line right there at the clove of garlic.
So may I suggest in the waning days of warmer weather grab a steak and fire up the grill and make a big bowl of garlic salad here is the recipe…
Garlic Salad
- 2-3 cups chopped romaine lettuce
- 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 1-2 heads garlic crushed..your choice depending on your love of garlic
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Grated parmesan cheese. I like it cheesy about 4 Tablespoons this is all according to taste
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Add the garlic to the olive oil and let sit, while you clean and chop the Romain. Put in a mixing bowl, add rest of ingredients, Toss put into serving bowls and grate a bit more cheese on top for presentation. serves 1-3
